Thursday, February  2nd

5:00 PM  Welcoming Session. Introduction of Board members, guests and attendees. Entertainment and light music. Social will include a cash bar and complimentary Hors d’voeuvres. Fun and game, entertainment and light music throughout the night as well as a special live auction!

Friday, February 3rd

8:00 am Breakfast join your fellow auctioneers and registered conference guests for our opening buffet breakfast.

9:00-11:00 am  Asset protection seminar presented by Larry Oxenham, American Society for Asset Protection. Find out how Auctioneers can become invincible to lawsuits, save thousands in taxes, and successfully pass assets to heirs.

11:00 -12:00 noon   Must know before you sell another gun! Join Scott Gillespie of Steffes Auctioneers for an overview of their recent journey to become a federally licensed Firearm dealer for their auction firm. They will explain both why they felt it was the right move and what they learned during the process both good and bad.

12:00-1:00 pm  Buffet lunch
1:00-2:00 pm   Agriculture outlook presented by Ag Country Farm Credit Services Ken Knudsen, Senior Vice President of Credit and Chief Credit Officer will share his perspective of how things look on the farm from a credit perspective. In addition Russ Tweiten, Vice President, Agribusiness Consulting Succession and Retirement Planning will join to discuss Farm Succession and Retirement Planning—A Look Inside the Planners Toolbox”

2:00-3:00 pm Multi-Parcel Real Estate Auctions

NAA representative Devin Ford of Ford Brothers Auctioneers, a nationally respected auction company with four locations in Kentucky will share tips and strategic ideas to successful multi tract Real Estate auctions.

3:00-4:00 pm Item Check In. Fun Auction, Merchandise Contest and marketing contest item check in!

4:00-5:00 pm Auction preview and social. This year we have strived to encourage all to bring creative items. You will want to come early to explore these items and network with other members. Cash Bar as well as a complimentary Taco bar will be set up for all registered attendees.

5:02 pm Merchandise Contest and Fun Auction.

Our Live Auction evening will start promptly at 5:02 pm with a colors presentation of our American flag and salute to our great nation. 2016 NDAA Champion Auctioneer Mitchel Siemers will present this year’s Merchandise Auction contest fallowed by the Charles J. Fischer memorial fun Auction

Saturday, February 4th

8:00 am Breakfast

 9:00-9:30 am Wake up and get moving session! Dr. Brooke Monson and Dr. Kameron Ihry Hodem of Apex Physical Therapy and Wellness Center will help get your day started right and teach you how to stay on the top of your game all day long.

9:30-10:30 am “Online vs. Live Auctions, Let the Battle Begin” NAA representative Devin Ford will again take the podium and discuss this hot topic. Devin’s family auction company was started in 1965 and has witnessed many changes in marketing strategies and methods. As a member of the MarkNet Alliance family, online auctions are a serious tool in his company’s extensive tool box.

10:30-11:45 pm  Livestock Marketing Update

Whether you are directly involved in the livestock business or not, you need to stay informed. This 60 Billion dollar industry is relevant to all our businesses. We have assembled a team of experts, Cliff Sanders, Kelly Klein and Mike Ostrem to cover many interesting aspects of the livestock and livestock marketing business.

11:45-1:00 pm Lunch with a colleague or family

1:00-1:45 Technology Session. Facebook, Twitter, Linked IN, You Tube. We will take a look at all these social medias and how auctioneers are finding additional revenue streams by utilizing technology.

2:00-2:45 pm Great Ideas Sharing. This open forum style seminar will get everyone involved. Have you discovered a simple way to control inventory at your consignment auctions. Find a gadget that works great for protecting bid numbers? Please bring your creative ideas and share with your fellow NDAA members.

3:00 pm 65th Annual NDAA meeting, new and old business as well as election of officers

5:00 pm Banquet and Awards Presentation

This festive evening will include our 2017 hall of fame presentation, presentation of marketing awards, 2017 Merchandise Champion Auctioneer spotlight, passing of the president’s gavel, entertainment and much more.

7:30 pm Dance to Live Music
