Directions to Auction Tracts: From Two Harbors, north on Hwy. #2 for 13 miles,then left (West) on Hwy. #14 for 5.5 miles to the McAlpine Spur. Travel on the McAlpine Spur for 1 mile to Auction Property. Signs will be posted.
6 Tracts of private land for bank approved auction near Brimson, MN, only 20 miles North of Two Harbors. Tracts range in size from 80 acres to 160 acres and have been surveyed. All of the tracts have good access off the McAlpine Spur. Located near several lakes including Woodcock Lake, Thomas Lake, Highland Lake and Christianson Lake. This property adjoins county land and the Brimson snowmobile trail is nearby as well. Tract 1: 80 Acres. This tract has a combination of wooded and logged land. The contour is high and hilly with great views. This tract will be the most remote of the auction tracts. Good access will be provided. Lots of diverse wildlife here with large deer harvested from this area as well as bear and grouse.
Tract 2: 80 Acres. This tract lies north and south above Tract 1. This is a very nice tract including a large rock cliff/outcropping with water below. Moose have been seen here ! Gorgeous views! This land also has been logged in some areas. Great diverse tract.
Tract 3: 80 Acres. This tract lies east and west and is just north of Tracts 2 and 4. This tract starts high and drops to a lower cedar area. This tract has also been logged in 2007 with new growth started. Diverse with good panoramic view.
Tract 4: 40 Acres. This tract is a diverse tract that follows a high, narrow ridge with wonderful panoramic views. Combination of Cedar, Balsam, Aspen forest. Nice wooded 40 Acre parcel.
Tract 5: 40 Acres. Lies North of Tract 6 and East of Tract 3. Good access off the McAlpine Spur with combination of wooded and open/logged areas.
Tract 6: 40 Acres. Lies South of Tract 5 and between Tracts 4 and 7. Nice 40 acre tract with great access off the McAlpine Spur. Heavily wooded and lower but not swampy.
Tract 7: 40 Acres. Lies between Tracts 6 and 8. Heavily wooded 40 acre tract consisting of mostly Aspen and Evergreen. County land lies to the north.
Tract 8: 40 Acres. Lies north of Tract 9. Diverse tract with mostly wooded land. County land is off the Northwest corner.
Tract 9: 40 Acres. This tract has very good road access and would make a good combination with tracts 8 and 7. Great Grouse hunting here. Lots of recreational opportunities with this tract.
Tract 10: 80 Acres. Room to romp with this diverse 80 acre parcel. Keep it as a stand alone or possibly combine with Tract 8 or 11.
Tract 11: 80 Acres. Heavily wooded with nice access of the McAlpine Spur. This tract also has good diversity and would make a nice combo with Tracts 10 and 12.
Tract 12: 80 Acres. Wooded tract with adjoining County land to the East and South. This would make a good combo with Tracts 10 or 11.
Tract 13: 40 Acres. High ground that has been logged in 2007. New growth coming. Good access off the McAlpine Spur. This would make a good combowith Tracts 14 and 15.
Tract 14: 14 Acres. Partially wooded and mostly open/logged land. McAlpine Spur runs northeasterly through the tract. Good combo with Tracts 15 and 13.
Tract 15: This tract lies at the entrance to the auction properties. The McAlpine Spur runs from the Southeast corner to the middle of the northern border. Partially wooded and mostly open/logged. Good Grouse habitat. Good combo with Tracts 16 and 14.
Tract 16: 70 Acres. This tract lies directly to the east of Tract 15. High ground that is partially wooded and logged with new growth since 2007. Good grouse, deer and bear hunting. Possibly combine with Tract 15.
