Auctioneer’ Note: The Meacham/Nichols family have been a staple in the Nichols town history upon entering Pike township in 1838 when they purchased a land claim from the first governor of the Iowa Territory Robert Lucas. On December 1st, 1841, the 10th President of the United States John Tyler signed the grant for the sale of the land to the Meacham/Nichols family. Since that time, the Meacham family have owned property in the Nichols area as well as receiving the Iowa Century Farm Award in the 1940’s.  Steffes Group is proud to offer 341 Acres M/L of the Meacham’s land at public auction on April 30th, 2021.
